Project description and objectives The project assisted the CBJ through a four-fold approach with  financial literacy support for SMEs on the following areas: a) an educational booklet targeting SME clients, b) a workshop offered to SME clients of Jordanian financial institutions and c) a Training of Trainers for financial institutional partners. 
Expected results With this project, it is expected positive impact on the access to financing for SMEs in Jordan by enhancing financial literacy, business skills, financial management and financing capacities.

Project description and objectives The project assisted the partner institution in its business planning process through a workshop with management and board-level participation, and assistance in the finalization of the business plan.

Project description and objectives The SANAD TAF supported the institution to implement an SME product review and revision of product processes, and conduct an analysis to prepare the way for the creation of an SME scoring tool. 
Expected results This project delivered revised SME products and processes, enabling the institution to improve its outreach to SME clients and respond to the expectations of those clients.

Project description and objectives The project assessed the capacity and operations in the institution’s SME lending and collections processes, and identified inefficiencies, before accompanying the institution in implementing an action plan in three pilot branches. 
Expected results The project enabled the institution to assess the means of increasing operational efficiency and implementing the appropriate processes in selected pilot branches, while adhering to responsible finance principles.

Project description and objectives The project supports  a  SANAD  partner  in  its  business planning,  improving  its ability  to  create  accurate  and  detailed  planning  reflecting  solid  assumptions.
Expected results The proposed business planning assistance is expected to provide  the  institution  with  the  capacity  building  support  needed  to  improve  its  ability  to conduct  its  regular  operational  planning.  Further, it provides needed support in a time of transition, when planning the upcoming years of operation is particularly important.



Name of project “Showcasing Successful SME Banking” – SME sector Workshop for Jordanian Banks

Project description and objectives The event served as a positive demonstration case, providing best practices SME lending and presenting a successful case study with framework conditions similar to those of Jordan.

Project description and objectives This project supported a Jordanian MFI strengthening the capacities of its middle management staff by developing and increasing their managerial skills and by raising their awareness on the topic of client protection principles.
Expected results With this project, the SANAD TAF helped a Jordanian microfinance institution coping with challenges arising from fast growth and transformation plans.



Name of project Improving Lending Efficiency
Period 2011-2012

Project description and objectives The project supported the institution with an activity-based-costing (ABC) analysis to identify factors related to the efficiency of the lending process. The findings and recommendations were then discussed with the institution’s management, and subsequently implemented. 
Expected results The project supported to the institution in increasing the efficiency of its lending operations and, hence, to improve its outreach to the target group in the medium-term.
