Project description and objectives The project supports the PMA in staff capacity building and coaching of financial advisors responsible for providing debt counseling and financial education to financial sector clients in the so called “consumer relation halls”.
Expected results It is expected that the project increases consumer protection services and financial literacy in the Palestinian territories.

Project description and objectives The project contributed to the establishment of a comprehensive in-house training program for front office and management staff. This includeded six training modules covering communication skills, team building, problem solving, sales techniques, leadership, and coaching. Trainers were trained in each area and accompanied in providing numerous trainings on their topics to build their expertise in the material and as trainers.
Expected results The project reinforced the sustainability of the institution’s training system and resulted in greater productivity and client satisfaction.

Project description and objectives The project supported a comprehensive in-house training program for middle management developed by SANAD TAF’s partner institution. The training program covered various operational aspects affecting middle management including the areas of treasury, leadership, communication, customer care, and time management.
Expected results Through the project, the institution’s middle management increased its productivity and motivation, resulting in gains in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The project’s inclusion of a training of trainers course further contributed to the sustainability of the project.

Project description and objectives The project assists the institution in addressing some of the causes of its portfolio at risk, and processes in collection and recovery addressing delinquencies. This will help the institution moderate a source of inefficiency, and improve its performance.
Expected results It is expected that the project enhances the institution’s management capacity by assisting them to establish collections procedures based on international standards.

Project description and objectives The project supported the network with advisory support to develop ideas and possibilities to improve its financial and non-financial sustainability and its effective member representation as a single-voice of the sector.
Expected results It is expected that recommendations will be developed in the areas of good governance and management, improved operational self-sufficiency, and effective advocating.

Project description and objectives This research assessed the current size of the MSE market in Palestine by analyzing current demand for and supply of MSE finance. The analysis included, among others, aspects such as type of products available for MSEs, type of savings or collateral requirements.
Expected results This study is expected to contribute to an increased transparency in the Palestinian MSE sector, by updating existing figures and by supporting the sector pursuing informed decisions regarding supply and demand of MSE finance.

Project description and objectives With this program, SANAD supports the PMA through a three-fold approach with advisory support on the following areas: a) study tour on financial education/literacy, b) assessment of establishment of a debt advice center, and c) assessment of different credit reports elaborated by the credit registry.
Expected results With this program, it is expected positive impacts on the overall approach to responsible finance practices in the Palestinian territories.

Project description and objectives This project is supporting a Palestinian microfinance institution in drafting financial and internal audit policies and procedures.
Expected results With the new manuals, this MFI was able to comply with the new law, by registering and obtaining a license from the Palestinian Monetary Authority, as the new law requires.

Project description and objectives The consultant reviewed the institution’s small business lending tools and conducted training for loan officers on best practices in small business lending.
Expected results The results include enhanced loan officers skills in small business lending, improved tools for small business lending and the provision of training material and enhanced training skills of selected trainers among staff members.



Name of project MFI Workshop on Risk-Based Internal Audit and Control

Project description and objectives The workshop on risk-based Internal Audit and Control introduced MFIs to the fundamentals of risk management and how sound and prudent internal audit and controls incorporate these fundamentals.
Expected results The project closed the gap between the supply of professional training that does not meet the demand of the financial institutions’ staff.
