Graduation Ceremony for the SANAD TAF Mentorship Program for Syrian Entrepreneurs

On October 23, a graduation ceremony took place in Jerash, Jordan, to celebrate the successes and impact of the participants in the mentoring program held by the SANAD Technical Assistance Facility (SANAD TAF) and Mowgli Mentoring. The six-month program, which was funded by the Austrian Development Bank (OeEB), provided personal and professional mentoring support to Syrian refugee entrepreneurs in Jordan‘s Greater Amman Municipality area.

SANAD TAF aims to help fuel the growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as the key drivers of employment in the Middle East and North Africa. Given the growing unemployment rate in Jordan, organisations such as Mowgli and SANAD TAF are working to maintain and create jobs by helping entrepreneurs establish and develop their businesses to achieve success. This program matched 15 Syrian refugee entrepreneurs to 15 mentors, all based in Jordan, for one-on-one, structured coaching. The graduation ceremony allowed mentors and graduates to celebrate the end of a successful journey over the last 6 months. Check out the video about the program.
