Workshop on “Showcasing Successful SME Lending”

Event date: 17 February 2014
Location: Premises of the Association of Banks, Amman, Jordan

Language: English

The Association of Banks in Jordan and the SANAD Fund for MSME are jointly organizing a one-day strategy workshop on successful SME lending.

The workshop will demonstrate how banks can grow successful SME lending operations by overcoming challenges such as lack of detailed data on the SME sector or SME clients as wells as designing effective SME products.

During the workshop, participants will be introduced to global best practice SME lending, including the institutional prerequisites for successful operations. To better illustrate such best practice, the workshop will include a case study of a successful SME bank operating under similar conditions to that of Jordanian banks. The day will close with a roundtable discussion that provides the opportunity for questions and answers as well as networking among participants.
